Posters

The Project was a 11×17 Poster of my choice of a famous person. I chose Jean Micheal Basquiat. He was an American artist who rose to success during the 1980s as part of the Neo-expressionism movement. The periods in which he is categorized would be Contemporary Art, Neo-expressionism, and Primitivism. Basquiat was and is still considered a ground-breaking artist in the neo-expressionism art movement. His artwork dealt with themes of racism, classism, colonialism, and other power structures and their effects on U.S. society. He was also known for his raw gestural style of painting with graffiti-like images and scrawled text. I wanted to create a piece that embodies who he was and illustrate his style of work.

This layout is a 11×17 poster done in illustrator and Photoshop.
